Last night I slept at 9000ft to help acclimatization. Sleeping bag, no tent, fresh air, starry night, brilliant milkyway, colorful dawn and sunrise. <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" src=\"http:\/\/tlausser.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/peaks\/whitney\/HorseshoeMeadowRoad.jpg\" alt=\"High Sierra and Owens Valley above Lone Pine\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The morning air up here is dry and clear; excellent light for photography! California is a great place.
